Run your own race
Dimension: Inspiration for everyday life

The world around you wants to constantly compare you to others and judge you accordingly. And then they tell you: "Hey, you're not fast enough because Joseph was faster in that race" or "Helen has a better fashion sense than you..."
And so on. Wave your hand at it. Run your own race. Show your own fashion sense. "Yeah, sure Joseph is faster, but I ran the race 10 seconds faster than last year... For me, I'm the winner."
Or... "You think I have no fashion sense, but I like it. And that's how I'm going to wear it. Even if the whole world wears something different..."
Plain and clear: don't let the world judge you.
Run your own race and if you don't lie to yourself, the reward will come in the form of a great feeling in your heart when you feel that you have surpassed yourself.
And that feeling is worth it. It's much warmer and more lasting than having a gold medal hung around your neck.
A ten-second mini-prayer:
"God, give me the strength to be myself.
I thank You for that with all my heart.💖
Amen!"

Think of Kalokagathia:
It's not about being THE BEST IN THE WORLD (which can only be one person), but about BEING BETTER EVERY DAY. And that can be EACH OF US.
