Your happiness – your decision
Dimension: Inspiration for everyday life

If you have to make a decision and you decide based on what will please others rather than what you truly want — then you’re not being honest with yourself. It’s just that simple. You’re lying to yourself.
Why? For profit? To avoid losing someone you love? So that others won’t think badly of you? Because you don’t share their opinions? Are you afraid of rejection, condemnation, or even retaliation?
Many of those reasons can be understood, but they are all washed away by a single sentence, a single thought, with the force of a spring flood rushing through a narrow stream.
Because then you are creating THEIR happiness, not YOURS.
Keep that in mind. That’s how it is! So next time you are being pushed into a decision you don’t want, realize it and ask yourself whether you want to CREATE YOUR OWN HAPPINESS or someone else’s.
It’s up to you.

Ten-second mini-prayer:
"God, thank You for giving me the strength to create
my own HAPPINESS. With this strength, I can easily resist any manipulation.
With gratitude in my heart, to You,
Amen."
