When you don't see all the beauty and goodness around you, something has to come along that opens your eyes. Sometimes it's a little uncomfortable.
There may be a scream or rude words that can be survived, but there may also be an illness or an accident. I don't want to paint the devil on the wall, but there will simply be something that alerts you, that stops you.
You won't experience exactly comfort and nice moments, but these unpleasant states WILL OPEN YOUR EYES to see what you are supposed to see. That there are probably a lot of good people around you, to whom you don't give as much love as they deserve, that you may have all the conditions to be happy and live a nice life, spend nice evenings, and instead you go to a pub or wine bar to drink too much, which obscures your heart. Opening your eyes can be painful, but necessary. Such are the ways of God.
Ten-second mini-prayer:
"God, help me see the good around me.
Especially now, today.
I know there is more than enough there.
I must just look closely.
