THE GOOD AND THE BAD MASTER
Dimension: Inspiration for everyday life

The masters of ancient martial arts say that it’s better to spend a year looking for the right teacher than a year training under the wrong one. It’s wisdom, slightly exaggerated perhaps, but confirmed by history, tradition, and the experience of ancient warriors.
But now it gets interesting, doesn’t it?
Can we transfer this wisdom to RELATIONSHIPS as well? IS IT BETTER TO SPEND A YEAR LOOKING FOR THE RIGHT ONE — THE TRUE LOVE THAT LIGHTS UP OUR LIFE — OR TO SPEND A YEAR WITH A LAZY FOOL OR A DRAMATIC SCREAMER, JUST SO WE’RE NOT ALONE? Doesn’t such a relationship close us off from the good that’s meant to come later? Or (!) doesn’t it teach us bad techniques (meaning bad patterns), the same way a BAD TEACHER would teach a martial arts student?
I’ll leave the decision to you. What do you think???

Ten-second mini-prayer:
"God, I thank You for the intuition that will not fail me and will unfailingly lead me only toward the good that is worth waiting for, so that I don’t close the door to the beauty awaiting me in the future through unnecessary haste.
I thank You, with all my heart, Amen."
