In faith, there is no need to do much. Not everyone is created to perform heroic deeds. Even an “ordinary” life filled with service and love for family and children is so valuable that the one who saves humanity with a heroic act has no right to exalt himself above it.
The “small,” the “everyday” in our lives—daily work, daily routine—becomes the salt and spice on which we can build happiness. With God’s help, with faith in Him, with the love and security He provides.
Whoever seeks unnecessary pathos or pomp in faith—which paradoxically may turn him away from faith and from God, as he imagines himself unworthy of it—should realize this: 👇
IT REALLY IS ENOUGH TO JUST BE AT PEACE AND THANK GOD FOR HIS BEING, FOR ALL THE GOOD HE BRINGS US. TO SHARE HIM, TO BELIEVE IN HIM, AND SIMPLY TO BE and to resonate with His ever-present EXISTENCE.
