Sometimes someone offends us — verbally attacks, speaks harshly, sharply, or unfairly. And this isn’t about physical fights, but rather verbal conflicts — maybe with a co-worker or someone close to you.
We can choose to fight back — answer insult with insult, anger with anger, harshness with harshness. And yes, sometimes speaking up is right, but other times — if you realize this conflict brings you nothing but a LOSS OF ENERGY and TIME — remember, maybe that person only came to “dump” their tension on you, to pull you into their storm, to drain your energy and feed on it, ruining your peace. If that’s the case — don’t step into battles that don’t matter. Don’t waste your calm on empty conflicts.
So, how to deal with it? Instead of returning the insult, choose silence — choose a SMILE. Reply shortly, peacefully: “Yeah, okay... Sure... Fine... I see it differently, but okay... I get your point... You’re upset, I understand... Let’s not ruin the day — it’s all good.”
Respond with grace — calmly, lightly, as if it doesn’t cling to you🍖. Say one short sentence, don’t explain too much, let your kindness disarm them. With a smile, you’ll take the WIND OUT OF THE SAILS⛵ of their pirate attack on your ship of peace — and then just walk away toward the joy of your beautiful day.

Ten-second mini-prayer:
"God, give me strength so that in meaningless conflicts I can:
1) STAY SILENT (not get pulled into the whirlpool of argument)

2) SMILE (fill my heart with warmth and love for others, to understand that often they do not know what they do)
3) CALM THE SITUATION — using only brief words (grant me perspective, peace, humility, and lightness for such moments)

4) WALK AWAY (give me strength, joy, happiness, and vitality for today!)
I ask You this from the depths of my heart,
and I thank You sincerely for it,
AMEN!
💖"
