🎙️ OPENING — GOD IS GREAT!

„Ladies and gentlemen… welcome to the episode GOD IS GREAT!

I probably don’t even need to translate that. Everybody gets it. God is simply GREAT! I’m deliberately leaving it in English because I feel like it sounds better that way. Like it really underlines how great God is. Not because it’s some world language, but because there are 350 million Americans, and when 350 million folks say "GOD IS GREAT", that kind of carries some weight.

That easily drowns out 10 million atheists in the Czech Republic! 😁

And now – watch out! I can already see a gentleman here in the audience starting to sweat. Sir, you’re an atheist, right? Don’t worry. That’s okay!
Relax… today we’re not converting anyone to faith. At most, we’re converting you to a better mood.

You know what’s funny? People argue about God their whole lives… one says that God EXISTS, another says that God DOESN’T, but the moment a plane hits turbulence, suddenly everybody believes. Even the atheist, in that moment, goes:
‚Hey God, I know we haven’t really talked much… but if we get through this, I promise that at least once a year, at Christmas, I’ll go to church, light a candle and I won’t kill the carp.‘🐟😁

And God up there just says:
‚Bro… you only call Me when the plane is shaking? You’re like a cast-off ex-husband texting his ex at two in the morning.‘📳🤣

Or that eternal debate:
‚If God existed, why would there be so many problems in the world?‘
I don’t know… maybe because we’re all like users of some complicated household appliance. We all want it to work right away — but nobody wants to read the long manual. 😄
And God says: ‚I gave you a manual for life! I mean, for example, the Bible. But you turned it into seven rewritten versions, three lost translations and, just so you’d know what I look like, a children’s picture-book version!‘ 😁

But you know what?
I think God has a sense of humor.
Because if He didn’t… then Pepa Dvořák wouldn’t have been born, this show wouldn’t exist, and neither would my chemistry tests. They were so bad that my teacher looked at them like: ‚These aren’t mistakes anymore… these are entirely new chemical experiments!‘🤣

So sit back, grab a drink, relax your shoulders…
Tonight we’re going to talk about why this is true: GOD IS GREAT!
And if by the end of the episode not absolutely everyone agrees with me… that’s okay.

God gets it.
So do I.

And now…
READY OR NOT - HERE WE GO!“

So folks… are we going to jump straight in headfirst or take it slow?

This gentleman here wants to take it slow, the lady next to him is waving for headfirst? Are you two married? Well, then I wouldn’t want to be there when you’re doing the family budget... 😁

Ok.
Faith is actually simple.
Like, really simple.
We’re the ones who turn it into a complex project just because we’re people… and people have a talent for complicating even things that are, at their core, totally clear.

God says:
“Love. Relax. Be grateful.”
And we go:
“Sure… and where do we log that? Does it go into some app? Don’t we also get some kind of bonus quest with it? A heroic mission?”

I think it goes like this!
God doesn’t need you to save humanity three times a week.
He really isn’t expecting you to get up on Monday morning, have your coffee, turn to your partner and say:
“Honey, after work today I’ll also take care of the climate crisis.”

Sometimes… it’s enough just to live.
To love your kids, take care of your family, help your neighbor get the couch out of the elevator.
And God up above:
“Yes! That’s it! That’s My person! That’s the right vibe!”

And then there are the people who say:
“Faith? Ugh. That’s too sentimental, too grandiose, too… big.”
My friend, you didn’t understand.
God isn’t expecting you to walk around the world like Gandalf in a cloak, blowing the horn:
“I am the messenger of the Universe!” 🧙‍♂️😂

He just wants you to be okay.
Really.
It’s enough to be okay and, from time to time, send up:
“God, thanks… for being there. And for the fact that today I managed to get to work and nobody annoyed me more than is healthy.” 😁

That’s all.
No puffed-up ego, no pomp.
Faith isn’t an opera performance — it’s more like a quiet moment when you’re sitting at home, looking into your mug of tea and thinking:
“Yeah… that’s it. Thanks.” 👏👏🙂

And if someone thinks they’re not worthy of faith?
That they should be more perfect, purer, more enlightened?
Then that person probably never read the Bible carefully…
Because God works with people who are full of flaws.
That’s His specialty!
He’s basically a kind of… divine HR manager:

“You’re imperfect? Great. You’re hired! Here’s your contract for life – permanent position.”

So what’s the point?
It’s enough to be.
It’s enough to give thanks.
It’s enough to tune in to His existence.

And if that seems too little to someone…
That’s exactly what’s beautiful about it.

God is not little.
We just sometimes think too much.“ 👏👏🙂

Okay, folks, let’s wrap up this BIG TOPIC nicely today.
It probably won’t surprise anyone that in the end it all gets simplified into one single, beautifully human sentence.

No heroics.
No grandstanding.
No over-the-top perfection.

But this:

“Today I’m going to be at peace, and I will thank God for all the good things He brings into my life.”

And now let’s give it a little extra shine, like we’re in the pink world of Barbie and Ken:
This is a sentence literally anyone can say.
Even the one who puts on two different-colored socks in the morning and only notices in the evening.
Even the one who stays on a diet all day… and at ten at night buries it in front of the freezer with the ice cream.
Even the one who prays for patience… and then on the highway gets overtaken by an old-timer – a Wartburg that shouldn’t even exist anymore – and the guy gets mad as hell. 😁

God doesn’t say: “Be perfect.”
God says: “Be Mine. And be at peace. Do your best to be the best version of yourself.”

And even the biggest scatterbrain among us can handle that.

So… today we’ll wrap it up simply.
No fanfares, no effects, no fireworks.

All it takes is a simple little prayer:
“Today I’m going to be at peace… and I thank You for that, dear God. Thanks for the fact that You are.”

And you know what I think God will say to that?

“Finally someone has understood what this is all about.” 👏👏🙂

IT’S ENOUGH TO BE AT PEACE AND THANK GOD, FOR THE FACT THAT HE IS, FOR ALL THE GOOD HE BRINGS INTO OUR LIVES. TO SHARE HIM, TO BELIEVE IN HIM AND SIMPLY JUST BE and resonate with His ever-present EXISTENCE.

Ten-second mini-prayer:
"Today I will be at peace and I will thank God for all the good He brings into my life.
With gratitude in my heart towards Him, Amen."
