He had a lifelong dream. To open, abroad, in Greece, on a magical island called Kefalonia, which benefits mainly from tourism, a cozy bar / cafe or similar business that would earn good money, but he found a girlfriend who did not share the desire that God had planted in his heart. He broke up with her because his mind proclaimed this:
I have always wanted a woman who would love me like a loser in dirty shoes, believe in my dreams. I could conquer
the world for her and then bring her blue from the sky, lay the stars at her feet, because she would say:
"You're so crazy that you believe in your crazy dreams, but I'm so crazy that I believe in you!
And that's why I'll go through life with you."
And he began to look for a new woman, a new angel for his heavenly world. A woman who would appreciate that he wanted to love her and work hard for their happiness together.
He prayed for his new angel, every day, until she ended up in his arms and filled him with the love he needed so that HE COULD FULFILL HIS DREAM OF LIFE.
His honesty paid off. He escaped a relationship that was suffocating him and found a woman who was crazy enough to believe that her crazy man could succeed.
They sold everything they had in their homeland, burned their bridges, and with only a credit card and a small amount of money in their account, they set out to seek their fortune abroad...
Their further life journey was thorny, complex, full of adventures, those that are remembered fondly and with a smile, as well as the more bitter ones.
They experienced a lot, but in the end they really settled in Greece, on Kefalonia, on the beautiful island he had dreamed of since their youth.
They started there by collecting fruits from which olive oil was pressed, and over time, when they settled permanently, they managed to buy and run a small café / ouzeria. Do you know what an ouzeria is? A place where ouzo is drunk, an excellent Greek spirit.
And because Kefalonia is a paradise for tourists, a lots of people from their homeland also came to visit their compatriots' establishment, had a good time, drank well, spent a nice time there and, most importantly, spent a lot of money.
And so the couple's determination was fulfilled to the fullest. He was so crazy that he believed that one day he would have a successful, cozy and well-earning pub abroad, she believed in his dreams.
When they had made a lot of money and were old, they sold their business and retired. They could not have children, but they died still in love, at the age of 84, she first, he within six months.
Their shared dream, of Kefalonia, thus came to a happy conclusion.
